GRM 2018 Drivers Confirmed

The Garry Rogers Motorsport 2018 Virgin Australia Supercar driver lineup will be Garth Tander and James “Bieber” Golding.

2018 will Garth’s 9th season driving a GRM car and his experience will certainly be a positive influence on Bieber.

“I will be extremely proud to see Bieber race in Adelaide in just over 3 months time” said Garry Rogers.

“I get an enormous amount of satisfaction watching and helping young people achieve something and that doesn’t just mean race drivers, I get just as much satisfaction in watching a guy like Stiffy (Stefan Millard) develop from a trainee Data Engineer to our Team Manager”.

“With regards to Bieber I have been watching him since his early teens in go-karts and as things progressed I offered him an apprenticeship a little over 4 years ago as a Mechanic.  Bieber has shown a great aptitude to the mechanical side of a race car and his day to day work ethic certainly illustrates to me that he is a very disciplined person.”

As a race driver he has won many go-kart titles, finished 3rd in the 2014 Australian Formula Ford Championship, completed the 2015 and 2016 Dunlop Super2 Championship with race wins and has performed extremely well in the 2016 and 2017 Pirtek Endurance Cup.

“I have tremendous faith in Bieber’s ability, but as importantly know that he has the background to deal with the setbacks that he will encounter,” said Rogers

2018 is shaping as the year of the rookie with Bieber and a handful of others both confirmed and rumored to be debuting.

“I know that Bieber has the skills and we will provide him with the people and the equipment to not only have the potential to lead that group but challenge the mainstays of Supercars".
